Association. (Proverbs 13:20)´´He that walketh with wise men shall be wise: but a companion of fools shall be destroyed´´. A man or woman who maintains the company of bad and corrupt friends even after
marriage is bound to wreck. Just as a bad tree does not produce good fruit,bad influence or counsel does not produce
good and Godly individuals. The quality of the closest people to you determines how you handle crisis in your marriage. If you mingle only with friends who would rather you were single so you could have the freedom of engaging with them in their decadent activities,it follows that they would not be in favour of the survival of your marriage so they´ll jump at any opportunity to pick faults with your marriage and discourage you in their own selfish interest! (Proverbs 12:4) ´´A virtuous woman is a crown to her husband: but she that maketh ashamed is as rottenness in his bones´´.PS1:1-3
Habits. There are certain habits that could ruin a marriage. Such include poor sanitary habits,lack of proper up-bringing or loose up-bringing,etc. There are homes in which the parents care less about the wellfare or whereabouts of their kids. In some homes,especially in poverty-stricken countries,food is not supplied in the family by parents.
The children of the homes simply wake up in the morning and try out ways of accessing food solely by their own efforts. The girls are mainly subjected to eating anywhere food could be found,including immoral gratification to the providers of such food. As a result,some of them adopt this ´´body for food´´ attitude as a way of life and we all know what that implies. They are simply left to cater for themselves or go anywhere they deemed fit whenever they liked without any form of supervission. Such kids grow up into adults who are ill-prepared and ill-equiped for marriage because they did not have the priviledge of undergoing any form of training or correction for wrong-doing. They find themselves wanting to continue jumping around with lousy friends,neglecting marriage responsibility and family. Such partners would not even heed the voice of reasoning because they are so dead sure they´re right as they have never known any righter way of life.
